This MIKIMOTO Graduated Pearl Necklace measures 45.5 cm, with cream-coloured pearls increasing from approximately 3.5 mm to 7.0 mm towards the centre. Pearls and silver meet at an openwork clasp, finished with a single pearl, that fastens the strand at the back. Kokichi MIKIMOTO created the first cultured pearls in 1893. In this necklace, you can see the graduated arrangement in the progression from small pearls near the clasp to larger ones at the centre. Turn the openwork silver clasp over to find the house's M-in-shell mark beside the silver stamp. The pearl accent on its face continues the strand's material into the fastening.
