Consign With
Sold Attire
Luxury consignment in Cairo, run quietly. You own a piece worth more than a quick sale, and we have the buyers in Egypt who know the difference. No marketplace listings. No strangers at your door.
For owners of top-tier bags, watches and fine jewellery. We collect anywhere in Cairo, or you can bring the piece to the New Cairo showroom by appointment. A small number of pieces each month, by selection.
What We Accept
Authenticated pieces from the top tier of luxury, across three categories. No contemporary labels, no high street, nothing without brand provenance.
Bags
Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Bottega Veneta, Prada, Saint Laurent, Celine, Loewe, Gucci, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Fendi, Burberry, Valentino, Miu Miu, and comparable houses. Comparable means peers of these houses, nothing below them. Condition 6/10 minimum. Hardware and structure intact.
Watches
Our watch standard begins at Cartier and moves upward: Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, and comparable haute horlogerie houses. Speedmasters welcome. Nothing below the Cartier tier. Movement must be functioning. Papers and the original box raise the value. Share what you have.
Jewellery
Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Chopard, and comparable fine jewellery houses. Think Love bangle, Juste un Clou, Alhambra: that tier. Gold, diamond and precious stone pieces. Hallmarked or documented.
Not sure whether your piece qualifies? Send it through. We will tell you directly.
What We Do Not Accept
The test is simple: if the label sells at accessible prices in malls worldwide, it is not for us, whatever its condition. We decline the following:
Contemporary and accessible labels. Michael Kors, Guess, Coach, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, DKNY, Furla, Ted Baker, Charles & Keith, Aldo, Steve Madden, and this tier generally.
High street, fast fashion and everyday clothing. Zara, Mango, H&M, and everything adjacent. If you are looking for where to sell old clothes in Cairo, that market exists and it is not this one.
Watches below the Cartier tier. No fashion-label watches: Michael Kors, Armani, Guess, Fossil, Daniel Wellington, Swatch. Cartier is the floor. Nothing beneath it.
Fashion jewellery. No plated pieces, no Pandora, no Swarovski. Fine jewellery from recognised houses only.
Sneakers. One exception: Hermes and Loro Piana. No other house, no sport brands, no limited drops.
This is not a judgement on the pieces. It is a different market from ours.
How It Works
Five steps from your phone to a paid sale. No intake form, and nothing leaves your hands until you decide it should.
Send Photos on WhatsApp
Ten photographs: exterior, interior, hardware, date code or serial, base, and anything a buyer would want to know. Tell us honestly what you know. Honest condition is what makes a listing credible and a sale possible.
The piece stays with you. Everything starts remotely.
Valuation Within 24 Hours
We come back the same day or the next. We accept, decline with a reason, or ask for more photos. If we accept, we agree a floor price and your share in writing before anything goes live.
You know the minimum outcome before any buyer conversation.
Collection in Cairo, or Drop Off
Two routes, and the choice is yours. Keep the piece at home and we collect it once a buyer is confirmed, anywhere in Cairo or Giza. Or hand it over earlier at the New Cairo showroom by appointment.
Outside Cairo, we arrange a courier and cover the piece both ways.
Authentication and Photography
Every piece is authenticated before it is presented: serial and date codes, stitching, heat stamps, hardware weight, zipper engraving, lining and construction, and for watches the reference, dial, movement and bracelet. Pieces we hold are photographed in the studio and written up properly, condition stated.
Acceptance to live listing: typically under 48 hours.
Listed, Sold, Paid
Your piece goes live on soldattire.com and out to our buyer list in Egypt and the Gulf. We handle every buyer conversation, viewings and delivery. When it sells, you are paid directly, at or above the floor you set.
You are never asked to meet a buyer or answer a message.
How Your Price Is Set
A price is a reading of the market, not an opinion. Five things move it, and we show our working when we send the number.
Recent comparable sales. What the same reference in the same condition has actually sold for lately, in Egypt and internationally. Asking prices are not evidence. Completed sales are.
Condition, graded honestly. Corners, edges, leather or canvas, hardware plating, lining, odour, strap wear, any repair. A flattering grade costs you the sale later, so we do not give one.
The maison and the model. A Chanel Classic Flap and a Hermes Kelly hold value differently from a seasonal style by the same house. Some references appreciate. Most do not.
Live demand in Cairo. We know what our buyers ask for week after week. Colour, size and hardware move the number more than most sellers expect.
What came with it. Box, dust bag, authenticity card, receipt, and for watches the papers and service history. Completeness is the cheapest value you will ever add.
Worth saying plainly: prices shown on soldattire.com are asking prices, not fixed ones. Returning clients and direct WhatsApp buyers regularly purchase below the number on screen. That is why the floor exists. The floor is yours. The negotiation is ours to handle.
Payout and Timelines
No listing fee, no valuation fee, nothing payable up front. We only earn when your piece sells, and the more it sells for, the larger your share.
| Sale price | You keep |
|---|---|
| Under EGP 50,000 | 75% |
| EGP 50,000 to 150,000 | 80% |
| Above EGP 150,000 | 85% |
Your share is confirmed in writing at valuation, before anything is listed. The ladder is calculated on the final sale price, so a Chanel Classic Flap that sells for EGP 180,000 pays you EGP 153,000. You see the floor price, your share and the expected payout in one message, and nothing goes live until you reply yes.
Valuation: same day or the next. Within 24 hours of your photos arriving.
Live listing: usually under 48 hours from acceptance. Authentication, photography and the writeup happen in that window.
Time to sale: weeks rather than days. Strong references in strong condition move fastest. We give a realistic expectation before listing, and we tell you if the market goes quiet.
Payment after the sale completes. We confirm the payout date the day your piece sells, and we pay you directly. If a piece does not sell you take it back, with no fee and no time limit imposed on you.
The Exchange Option
If a piece catches our eye for the archive, we may propose a direct exchange: something from current inventory in place of, or alongside, a cash payment.
Exchanges are proposed by us, not requested. We only raise it when the swap is genuinely interesting for both sides. You are never obligated. A standard consignment remains available regardless.
Three Sellers, Three Outcomes
The three below are composites. They describe how consignments typically run here, not individual clients, and no name, quote or figure belongs to a real seller.
A Zamalek seller with a Chanel Classic Flap
Inherited, worn through the nineties, no box and no card. She assumed the missing paperwork made it unsellable. It did not. The date code, hardware and stitching told us what we needed, and the listing said so rather than glossing over the wear. It was priced against recent completed sales for the same reference and bought by a returning client. Honest condition notes are what made a serious buyer trust it.
A New Cairo seller clearing three designer bags
She wanted one decision the same week. We took two, a Louis Vuitton and a Dior, and declined the third because the label sits below our tier and would have sat unsold making the others look cheaper. Both went live within two days. One sold quickly, the other took longer than we had guessed, and we told her that while it was happening rather than after.
A Maadi expat leaving Egypt in six weeks
A Cartier Love bangle and a watch, with a hard departure date, so timing was the whole brief. She dropped both at the New Cairo showroom on a Tuesday and they were authenticated, photographed and live by Thursday, with floor prices set slightly tighter because a deadline is worth being honest about. When someone has a date, we say plainly what will move by then and what will not.
Nothing Changes in the Group
For those already posting in our private community: this consignment service is an addition, not a replacement. We will continue to post pieces monthly, for free, with no commission taken. That has always been part of how we operate.
Consignment is for sellers who want the full Sold Attire presentation without handling any of it themselves. It is a service for pieces that deserve that attention.

Frequently Asked
How does luxury consignment work in Cairo?
Send ten photos on WhatsApp. We value the piece within 24 hours and agree a floor price and your share in writing. We authenticate, photograph and list it on soldattire.com, then handle every buyer conversation and the delivery. When it sells you are paid directly. We collect anywhere in Cairo and Giza, or you can drop the piece at the New Cairo showroom by appointment.
Can I sell my Louis Vuitton bag in Cairo?
Yes. Louis Vuitton is one of the houses we consign most often in Egypt, in canvas and in leather. Send photos of the exterior, interior, hardware and date code and we value it within a day. Condition 6/10 is our floor. A missing box or receipt does not disqualify a bag, it changes the number.
How do I consign a Chanel bag in Egypt?
The same way as any piece: photos on WhatsApp, a valuation within 24 hours, then a floor price agreed before listing. Chanel is the house our Cairo buyers ask for most, so Classic Flaps, Boy bags and 19s in honest condition tend to move quickly. Send the serial sticker or authenticity card if you still have them, and tell us about any wear rather than hiding it.
What brands do you accept, and what do you refuse?
Top-tier luxury only: bags from houses like Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Bottega Veneta, watches from Cartier upward, and fine jewellery from Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany and Van Cleef. We decline contemporary labels such as Michael Kors, Guess, Coach, Kate Spade, Tory Burch and DKNY, high street, watches below the Cartier tier, fashion jewellery, and all sneakers other than Hermes and Loro Piana.
Where can I sell old clothes in Cairo?
Not here, unless they are designer. We are set up for bags, watches and fine jewellery, and everyday clothing is a different market from ours. If you have ready-to-wear from one of the houses named above, send photos anyway and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.
What commission does Sold Attire take?
Between 15% and 25% of the sale price, on a ladder: you keep 75% on pieces that sell under EGP 50,000, 80% from EGP 50,000 to 150,000, and 85% above EGP 150,000. It is confirmed in writing when we agree the floor price, before the listing goes live. There is no valuation fee and no listing fee, so nothing is payable up front and we earn only when your piece sells. The private group channel stays free with no commission for members.
How long does it take to sell?
Weeks rather than days, and it varies by piece. Strong references in strong condition move fastest. We give a realistic expectation before listing, based on what we have actually sold at similar pricing, and we tell you when the market is quiet instead of leaving you guessing.
What if you decline my piece?
We tell you why. The usual reasons are a brand below our tier, condition below our floor, or authenticity questions we cannot resolve from photographs. You keep the piece, there is no fee, and there is no obligation either way.
