Chanel released the 2.55 in February 1955, and Karl Lagerfeld revived it as the Classic Flap in 1983 with the interlocking CC turnlock. Chanel produced the Medium Classic Flap A01112 across the long arc of Karl Lagerfeld's tenure, from the early Reissue years through to his late designs in 2018. The 13 series places this piece in the 2008 to 2009 window, when Chanel's French ateliers were producing lambskin Mediums at peak consistency. Gold-plated hardware, full beige leather lining, interwoven chain and leather strap. Pre-loved Chanel Cairo collectors treat beige lambskin Mediums as the pinnacle of the Classic line. Resale data from Vestiaire and Fashionphile shows beige lambskin Mediums trading at 80 to 105 percent of their 2008 retail price, a curve very few handbags hold over fifteen years.
