Nicolas Ghesquière designed the original Le Dix Motorcycle Bag in 2001 with no plan to release it commercially. The samples ended up at Vogue Paris, then on Kate Moss, and the bag entered production a year later as the City. Giant Hardware launched in 2007 with larger studs and buckles. Giant 12 followed in 2010 with slimmer proportions. Rose Bruyere sat in the 2013 spring palette, a heather pink Balenciaga ran briefly and then withdrew. Most surviving examples now circulate through pre-loved Balenciaga Cairo channels rather than retail. The agneau lambskin used here was selected for its hand, not its durability, which is why surviving 2013 pieces in clean condition are watched closely.
